Enter your own costs. This is a budget worksheet, not a local contractor estimate. The 10% reserve is editable, not a recommendation.

A PRACTICAL PLACE TO START
Turn a rough idea
into a working budget.
A total is only useful when you know what is inside it. Start with the parts, then see the whole project.
01 / BUILD
Account for the details.
List your materials and fixtures, installation labor, and other costs such as permits, delivery, or disposal.
02 / COMPARE
Look beyond the total.
Enter up to three contractor quotes. Check whether each includes materials, cleanup, and the same work.
03 / ADJUST
Keep room to decide.
Change your inputs, adjust your contingency, and export a copy to discuss with your contractor.
CONTRACTOR QUOTE COMPARISON
Three quotes.
A clearer conversation.
Use totals from quotes you have received. A lower price can cover a different scope of work.
Quote 02
Quote 03
Compare matching scope, quantities, product specifications, exclusions, taxes, permits, payment schedules, and change-order terms. The worksheet does not evaluate quote documents.
OUR APPROACH
A useful plan starts
with honest inputs.
RenoBench helps you organize project costs and compare the quotes you already have. The worksheet uses the numbers you enter rather than claiming to know what a contractor in your area will charge.
Any sample values are fictional and only demonstrate the calculations. Location, scope, materials, site conditions, and contractor pricing can change the actual cost.
Your inputs stay visible.
Materials, labor, other costs, and contingency are shown separately. Every amount is editable.
The math stays simple.
Base budget = materials + labor + other costs. Reserve = base budget × contingency. Planned total = base budget + reserve.
You control your saved plan.
Save stores the worksheet on this browser and device. Export creates a CSV copy. Clear removes the locally saved worksheet.
BEFORE YOU START
A few practical questions.
Is the total an estimate for my city?
No. This version totals the costs you enter. It does not apply regional prices or generate a contractor quote. Use supplier prices and written contractor quotes for your specific project.
What should I include under other costs?
Include costs that are not already in materials or labor, such as delivery, disposal, permit fees, or applicable taxes. Check each quote first so you do not count an expense twice.
Does the cheapest quote mean the best value?
Not necessarily. Compare the same scope, quantities, materials, exclusions, and project terms. The price comparison calculates a difference; it does not recommend a contractor.
Can I save my budget without an account?
Yes. Select Save budget to store it on this browser. It will not sync to another device and may be removed if you clear browser storage. Export a CSV or print to PDF if you need a separate copy.
Make the next decision
with the numbers in front of you.
Start with what you know. Refine it as your project takes shape.
