RENOBENCH / BATHROOM PLANNING
Measure your floor, enter your own prices, and account for the work behind the finish. Keep every assumption visible as your plan takes shape.
Uses the prices you enter. No regional price database or live contractor estimates.
Calculate floor area and round tile purchases up to full cartons.
For a rectangular floor. Measurements use decimal feet: 8 ft 6 in = 8.5 ft. The area includes the entire rectangle; adjust dimensions or split irregular rooms before using this worksheet. The 10% extra tile allowance is editable. Confirm layout and cutting needs with your installer.
Enter supplier prices for the products you plan to use.
Enter material costs only here. Use carton pricing for the floor tile. Include wall tile, paint, or hardware in other materials if needed. Avoid counting items already included in another line.
Separate installation from the other work your project needs.
Floor installation uses room area, without the extra tile allowance. If a contractor gives you one lump-sum labor quote, leave overlapping labor lines blank and enter the quote once under other installation labor. Keep disposal separate only if it is not included.
Make the assumptions visible and adjust them to your project.
Tax applies only to the selected share of materials and fixtures. Enter 0% if your material amounts already include tax. Labor tax is not calculated; include any additional applicable tax in other project costs. The reserve applies to the complete entered subtotal, including tax. Confirm tax treatment and permit costs locally.
Use written proposals for the same bathroom scope.
Compare the same scope, quantities, products, exclusions, cleanup, permits, tax treatment, payment terms, and change-order process. A lower total does not establish better value. This worksheet does not read or evaluate contractor documents.
TRANSPARENT BY DESIGN
Monetary line items are rounded to cents before totals are added. Floor area is displayed to two decimal places; the tile calculation uses the entered dimensions. Check the quantities and scope with your supplier and contractor before purchasing.
No. Sample amounts are fictional and demonstrate how the worksheet works. They are not local price references. Replace them with supplier prices and contractor quotes for your project.
It does not inspect your property, price hidden damage, check building codes, determine permit requirements, or verify taxes. It calculates one rectangular floor, not wall tile or complex layouts. Add missing work and products in the appropriate editable lines.
No. A blank or zero is excluded from the budget. Use it only for work you do not need or amounts included elsewhere. The worksheet cannot tell whether your project scope is complete.
Check scope and inclusions before comparing totals. A contractor quote may already include materials, disposal, taxes, or permits. Avoid adding the same cost twice when you use it to build your budget.
Planning worksheet. Confirm scope and costs with your contractor.
